Diversity and Specialisms
Therapy should be a space where you as a client feel safe to express, explore, understand and be yourself whoever you may be, irrespective of the aspects of life you wish to discuss.
Fluid Psychotherapy believes wholeheartedly that you should be held as unique as an individual and not pathologized, judged, marginalized, or stigmatized in any way shape, or form, based on gender, sexuality, disability, ethnicity etc or for your choices in life or even behaviours that you may wish to understand and change.
For many individuals who they are in life presents (for many reasons) a significant barrier to seeking the help and support that they require, our aim is to support all individuals.
There are specific areas where as therapists we have a balance of professional experience, lived experience, and specialist training to ensure that aspects of who you are will be understood, never judged or stigmatised, and that as a client you should never feel you have to educate or edit your experience for your therapist or feel unsafe in any way to share or be anything other than yourself in therapy.
Below we have outlined some of the key areas of diversity and specialism that we work in, and over time we will be adding to these pages more background and resources, but should you identify as belonging to any of these communities or have been impacted by living with any of the aspects listed below, please be reassured that we have the experience, and knowledge to hold and support you throughout your therapeutic journey.
